One of the first songs I ever wrote, and one of my favourites definitely for that reason. When I wrote this and shared it with my friends they all really liked it. This song gave me the want to continue writing. I hope it inspires you in some way.

I once wrote a song for a person I know.
They told me that it's time I go to
See the place that they always used to talk about.
So I went on my way but halfway there
I stopped and I looked and lying there
Was the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen.

So I bent to the ground to pick it up
But the weight of it was far too much.
I hoped that nobody else would ever see
The most beautiful thing right in front of me.

Then I said "Oh, the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen
Won't you get yourself on up and walk with me?"
Then I said "Oh, we're a hundred, hundred miles from the world we used to see. Won't you get yourself on up and walk with me?"

Just walk with me.

So on I walked through the rain and the snow.
On I walked and on we go just me and the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
But the snow got thicker, fog filled the air.
Rain storms flooded lands everywhere!
But on I walked, hoping to find the promised land!

I protected it through the night and the say.
Fought for it in the clouds and the gray.
Oh beautiful thing baby can't you see that you and I were made to be?

Then I said "Oh, most beauitful thing that I've ever seen don't fall behind, come back here and walk with me."
Then I said "Oh, well it seems like you've been quiet near, so why don't we stay here? Love talk to me."

Then it said: "I can't believe that you protected me after all that we've been through. It's hard for me to believe that you'd risk your life for me..."

Oh most beautiful thing I've ever seen; don't you know? You and I were made to be.

Oh, most beautiful thing I've ever seen come along, sing this song and walk with me!
Then I said "Oh, we're a hundred, hundred miles from the world that we once knew, so why don't we walk along just me and you?"
